Praia da Bordeira

While on some maps you will find the name Bordeira, others call it Carrapateira, after the closest village. Even the locals cannot decide on this beach’s name. Yet, everyone agrees this is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve.

Praia da Luz

Once a fishing village, today Praia da Luz is one of the best beaches in Portugal. The promenade along the shoreline allows you to admire the stunning seascape. Towards the East, you will notice a massive dark cliff called “Black Rock”, which is part of the volcanic origins of the Monchique mountains, more than 40 kilometers away.

Across Lagos’ marina, the landscape changes drastically. Instead of a rugged coastline, the sea meets an endless sandy beach, extending as far as the eyes can see. It is one of the best beaches in the Algarve for kitesurfing and windsurfing.
